Heat Treatment<\/strong><\/p>\n

Type 201 is not hardenable by heat treatment.
\nAnnealing: Anneal at 1850 \u2013 1950 \u00b0F (1010 \u2013 1066 \u00b0C), then water quench or rapidly air cool.
\nThe annealing temperature should be kept as low as possible, consistent with the desired properties, because Type 201 tends to scale more than Type 301<\/div>\n

321 stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloyed with titanium, which enhances its resistance to intergranular corrosion.
