310S Stainless Steel Plate/Sheet
310S stainless steel is a high chromium and nickel austenitic stainless steel known for its excellent heat resistance. It maintains good strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 2000°F (1093°C). The low carbon content of 310S minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, enhancing its high-temperature properties. This grade is commonly used in furnace parts, heat exchangers, and high-temperature containers. Its exceptional resistance to thermal shock and corrosion also makes 310S stainless steel suitable for petrochemical, chemical, and environmental engineering applications. Heat Treatment
Annealing: Anneal at 1850 – 1950 °F (1010 – 1066 °C), then water quench or rapidly air cool.
The annealing temperature should be kept as low as possible, consistent with the desired properties, because Type 201 tends to scale more than Type 301
